Meditation doesn't come easy for many people. And that's where kirtan (pr. kurr-tahn) offers another method. Without the work of mentally quieting the mind, kirtan can carry us effortlessly to a place of stillness. One of the oldest sacred music traditions of the world, the kirtan call-and-response chanting uses ancient Sanskrit mantras. The kirtan calls upon sacred energies which serve to quiet the mind, remove obstacles, and bring us back to the center of our being.

The word Kirtan comes form the Sanskrit root "kirt" which means "to name, to communicate, to celebrate, to praise, to glorify." Kirtan can be seen as a bridge between our outer and inner selves and an expression of our desire to know and love the spirit within.

Join us for an evening of music, meditation, and enlightment. Come hear Amy and the Ananda Bliss Tribe with Amy Beth Treciokas, Brent Roman, Rich Logan, and Eric Majeski in a sound healing event of call-and-response chanting. They will be performing a Kirtan with a fusion of Sanskrit and English. Return to that place of stillness and peace with Amy and the Ananda Bliss Tribe.

Space is limited. Call 773-248-2544 to reserve your spot.
