One might say that Florida-raised modern artist and musician, Cody Copeland has a unique way of approaching things. For starters, his way of approaching the guitar with the mentality of piano-playing, as keys were his first forte. His innovative song-writing is just as unique in it's qualities: sensitive but strong, careful but aggressive, timid, but optimistic. All of these qualities seamlessly merge in a way that gives 22-year-old Copeland a sound that truly resonates. His live performances usually consist of a strategically minimalistic approach to guitar or keys, backing a smoky and warm vocal delivery. His live sets are an abbreviated version of his recently released solo synth-folk debut album Luster, with a wide span of instruments ranging from thick slabs of vintage synthesizers, to both analog and electronic drums, accordion, glockenspiel, and stripped heart-felt songs on acoustic guitar, all of which he plays himself. Cody's music is a reflection of the humble person that he is- driven, avant-garde, and highly approachable.
