Condition of the week: Emotional Health

Your body is not only made up of muscles, bones, and nerves; it’s a vessel of thoughts and emotions that are carried with you everywhere you go. Emotions play a pivotal role in the physiological functions of the body. When you experience high stress, your heart rate increases and your muscles tighten. When you experience sadness, your mind becomes clouded and your posture slumps. The other side of this story, is that your body has the ability to regulate your emotions.

If your spine is misaligned anywhere along its length, also known as a subluxation, that condition can interfere with the proper operation of the brain’s limbic system and the flow of the neurotransmitter, dopamine, which is the pleasure/reward chemical of the nervous system. Chiropractic adjustments restore function and movement of the spine, which re-energizes your nervous system to increase dopamine flow. Countless people seek chiropractic care for stress relief, depression, and emotional balance. Chiropractic offers the public something that conventional medicine cannot: a drug-free all-natural high.

  1. Deprenyl acts as a nerve and brain cell protector. Also known as http://www.antiaging-systems.com/50-deprenylDeprenyl Citrate, Selegiline and Cyprenil, using Deprenyl can improve brain function, stimulate brain activity and effectively increase dopamine levels available in the brain. Used ‘off label’ to treat Alzheimer’s disease, its ability to prevent brain cell deterioration is well documented.
